Last night was our Cub Scout Pinewood Derby and Malcolm's car won first place! Malcolm was pleased to win a trophy for something, it has been one of his goals for the past few years. Afterwards as I was near the bottom of the track helping take it apart I placed a piece of wood across the lanes for a moment. I look up and here comes the prize winning car — SMACK! — into the block of wood. I felt a bunch of sawdust hit my hand. There's now a chunk missing out of the front, but it's still in one piece. We'll still make a new car next year.
