Last week I went to a class on using animated GIF on your federal government social media site. I love the lo-fi aspect of moving GIF, which harks back to my earliest days on the web, yet people are still finding a use for them. Here's one of my first moving banner ads, which featured on the original Grandon Fan Club website, before anybody knew what a weblog was. Why is it so small? Actually this used to take up a lot of real estate on a 640 x 480 pixel screen. Madeleine is 20 now.
