Good Thing We're Not From Detroit

Yesterday I tossed Carter's uneaten saltines into the backyard to see if the squirrels would eat them. Along came a bunch of baby blue jays and two adults. The babies would pick up an entire cracker, almost the size of themselves, and flit away with it. After that a pair of cardinals came through. I grew up near St. Louis and Joanie in Toronto — somehow the appropriate baseball mascots knew where to show up.
