Maui Wowie

On the way to Hawaii a couple weeks ago stormy weather in Chicago caused me a missed connection and a change in flight plan. I had to stay the night in San Francisco without luggage. (With Chicago involved I should have known better and carried on a change of clothes.)

The silver lining was the inter-island ride from initial landing in Maui over to Oahu. You don't fly very high and you get to see a lot from the air. The water in Hawaii is so blue and clear — you can see right to the ocean floor in the surrounding waters.

But then the downside in taking four different planes to Honolulu is the increased exposure to germs. I had a sneezing cold my entire week in Hawaii, and 2-1/2 weeks later I'm still not all the way over it.
