Now that I've figured out how to post audio, here's a recording of the Pacific Ocean to go with the original photo. The original post has additional comments. It's basically two minutes of white noise, but there are some subtle swells and falls and wind in there too. I don't know how many decibels are involved with the shoreline, but if you've never been to the ocean, it's louder than you expect.
