Goldenrod

I wandered off the main path into an overgrown field to take some pictures when a couple of other youth leaders passed by. They noted what a special picture I must be taking, because these yellow weeds don't just grow anywhere. Of course, they grow everywhere.

There's an interesting story in Wikipedia about Thomas Edison using goldenrod to produce rubber.
